Membership Fee $60
Initial Membership fee covers:
$150 Deposit at Alabama Power
$100 Deposit at Alabama Gas (AlaGasCo)

Tuscaloosa Water Fee $15
Covers $50 Tuscaloosa Water Deposit
(Tuscaloosa Water restricts coverage to University of Alabama students only, sorry no faculty or staff coverage available for this deposit)

Northport Water Fee $15
Covers $75 Northport Water Deposit

Renewal Fee $20
Memberships must be renewed annually between August 1 & Sept. 30 to keep deposit coverage in force. Fee will be prorated for those who have been members for less than a full year.

Reinstatement Fee $30
Members who miss the renewal deadline can be reinstated for a $30 fee.

Transfer (Change of Address) Fee $2 per utility

OCA charges this fee to notify the utility companies of a member's change of address when the change does not occur at the time of application or renewal. The utility companies charge customers ADDITIONAL fees for transferring service. OCA covers deposits only. We do not cover the utility company's transfer fees.

Attorney Consultation: FREE!
Available to all members in good standing whenever a problem arises related to living off campus (roommate disagreements, questions regarding leases, tenant & landlord problem, etc.)
